Behind Every Logo is a Story

Every business has a story, and I’d love to share mine with you. It’s a story rooted in family, love, and finding joy in the little things.

When I was 12, my mom had twins. As the oldest sibling, I took on a big role in helping care for them, which often meant countless diaper changes. At first, it felt like a chore, but over time, it became the highlight of my days. Caring for my baby sisters gave me a sense of purpose and joy, especially during times when life felt uncertain.

We lived with my grandparents from time to time, and they’d watch the twins so I could go to school. But sometimes, I would skip school just to spend more time with them. My friends and I would take my sisters everywhere—on walks, to the park, even to our friends’ houses. They weren’t just my siblings; they were my world.

One day, during a diaper change, I noticed something that made me pause—a tiny seahorse design on their diapers. When two seahorses were printed facing each other, they formed a heart. It was rare, but every now and then, I’d get a diaper with the complete heart design. On other days, I’d only get half of a seahorse or none at all.

But when I did see those two seahorses forming a heart, it would instantly brighten my day. That little design gave me something to look forward to, and it reminded me to find joy in small, unexpected moments.

Looking back, I realize it wasn’t just the seahorses that brought me happiness—it was the act of pausing, noticing, and feeling gratitude. That simple shift in mindset could transform my mood and give me hope, even on the hardest days.

When I created Bath Affections, I wanted to infuse that same sense of joy and mindfulness into everything I do. My products aren’t just about self-care; they’re about creating moments that remind you to pause, reflect, and appreciate the beauty in life—whether it’s through a calming shower steamer or a soothing candle.

And as for the seahorses? They’re more than just a memory—they’re the inspiration behind my logo and a daily reminder of the power of finding joy in the little things.
